Deadline extended for French Guiana PPP

A local authority in French Guiana has postponed the deadline for the receipt of tenders for a transport PPP.

Communauté d’Agglomération du Centre Littoral (CACL) will be accepting responses until 10 November for the High Level Service Bus project, instead of 27 October as previously reported.

CACL is looking for partners to plan, finance (in part or entirely) and conduct works to deliver two lines for the project, covering 23 stations across 10.1km.

Line A will stretch 5.5km from the centre of the capital Cayenne (Place du Marché-Vieux Port) to Maringouins, while Line B will connect Place du Marché-Vieux Port to Mont-Lucas.

Under the €197m contract, the winner will also deliver a building for the maintenance of vehicles, exchange points, secure a ticketing system and conduct general maintenance of the lines under a 30-year term.
