Czech govt awards PPP advisory contract

The Czech Ministry of Transport has selected the advisory team for the D4 motorway PPP.

White & Case, Ceska sporitelna and Obermeyer Helika will assist the state in preparing the project and selecting the concessionaire.

Transport Minister Dan Ťok announced there is now a clear timetable for the procurement process, with the project to be tendered early next year. Construction could begin in two or three years.

The project is to complete the missing 32km of the D4 motorway between Příbram and Písek, under a design-build-finance-maintain-operate PPP contract. It has suffered numerous delays since the advisory contract procurement process started in 2015.

At the end of November an objection to the contract award was successfully averted, allowing the government to sign the advisory contract.
