German civic PPP launched

A city in Germany has issued a contract notice for a renovation PPP.

The City of Krefeld, near Dusseldorf, is looking for a private partner to plan, finance and conduct works to refurbish its council building.

The winner will also partly operate sections of the council for a 30-year term.

Built in the 1950s, the council is a listed building.

Interested parties have until 10 January to submit responses.

The authority will invite selected bidders to tender on 7 February.

The State of Schleswig-Holstein has recently tendered for a partner to deliver a new university building under a PPP.
