Paris schools PPP launched

The Île-de-France region has issued a contract notice for an education PPP.

The authority is seeking private partners to design, build and finance two high schools in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine and Palaiseau, respectively north and south of Paris.

Under the €117m contract, the winner will also maintain and operate the two schools for 22 years either partially or entirely.

The school in Palaiseau will have a capacity of 1,400 students, while the Pierrefitte-sur-Seine complex will host 1,200. Both structures should be completed by September 2021.

The authority is also planning to tender a separate PPP contract to deliver another school in the Satory area of Versailles.

Interested parties have until 16 January to submit responses.

The region will then invite selected candidates to continue with the tender procedure in March.
