Uganda plans PPP capacity building

The World Bank has issued a request for expressions of interest for consultants to support a PPP capacity building programme in Uganda.

Legal, financial and technical advisers will assist the Government of Uganda and the World Bank in reviewing existing legislation to develop PPP guidelines, with the support of the UK Department for International Development.

The team will also provide a training programme for the country’s PPP unit and other bodies within the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

Among other tasks, the winner will hold discussions with the ministry and stakeholders to evaluate fiscal commitments and contingent liabilities.

The World Bank intends to finance the assignment.

Consultants have until 14 December to express interest.

Earlier this month, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation issued a request for expressions of interest for consultants to oversee the launch of a PPP programme in Cameroon.
