Ashurst hires project finance partner

Law firm Ashurst has hired a new project finance expert for its Asia Pacific operations.

Chris Redden has left his position as head of financial institutions at Norton Rose Fulbright to join Ashurst in Sydney, bringing expertise in project and infrastructure finance.

Redden said: "Ashurst has an impressively global and dynamic finance practice. I look forward to joining a leading team of legal professionals in the Australian finance group, and being part of a wider firm with exceptional credentials."

With experience across many jurisdictions, including the UK, Hong Kong and Australia, Redden has advised on various projects in sectors ranging from infrastructure and energy to oil and gas and mining.

Jamie Ng, global co-head of finance, said: "Chris has a wealth of international experience and technical knowledge which will further enhance our international reputation in the Asia Pacific project finance markets.”
