JLIF’s former director of investments, Jo Griffin, has joined Facta, an infrastructure consultancy firm providing specialised advice on infrastructure programmes, projects and portfolios, with a presence in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Griffin joined John Laing from Carillion in 2003, and was part of the team along with fund managers Andrew Charlesworth and David Marshall that co-led the successful JLIF IPO and its listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2010. She left JLIF in May this year.
Steph McGregor, PPP specialist at Facta and former UK energy regulator responsible for launching the UK offshore transmission owner regime, said: “Jo’s extensive deal pedigree, SPV board experience and financial transaction depth are ideal to enhance our growth.”
Griffin also co-founded the Women’s Infrastructure Network UK, which now has over 900 members.
Earlier this month, Charlesworth and other former JLIF employees launched a new fund targeting PPPs in Europe and North America.
