CEO for new Australia infra agency

The Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency (IPFA) has designated a new chief executive.

Leilani Frew, current head of commissioning at NSW Treasury, will take on the new role from December 11.

The industry has welcomed the new appointment.

“Ms Frew has been at the forefront of the New South Wales government’s most significant infrastructure projects and brings significant hands-on experience and expertise in infrastructure project finance,” said Paul Oppenheim, Plenary Group CEO.

“I am confident that Ms Frew will provide the dynamic leadership required to ensure IPFA adds value to the nation’s infrastructure procurement processes,” he added.

It was announced in August that the Australian government was looking to appoint advisers and senior management of the new agency.
