Bangladesh launches health PPP

The Government of Bangladesh is inviting bids for a health PPP.

Bangladesh Railway, on behalf of the Ministry of Railways, is seeking private partners to design, build and finance a 500 bed multi-specialty hospital as well as a 100 seat medical college in the south-eastern city of Chittagong.

The winner will also operate and transfer the facilities, to be erected on land owned by Bangladesh Railway.

The authority intends to host a pre-bid meeting in Dhaka on 29 January.

Interested parties have until 26 February to bid for the project.

Meanwhile, the Government of Bangladesh has issued a request for expressions of interest for consultants to launch a port terminal PPP.

Earlier this month, delegations from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the PPP Office of Bangladesh held a joint session to increase Japanese participation in PPPs across Bangladesh.
