Philippines plans water bundles

The PPP Centre of the Philippines is looking to bundle several water projects into packages that can attract international investors.

Executive director Ferdinand Pecson has confirmed that water remains the biggest sector for the country’s infrastructure pipeline and explained that the authority is now looking at how it can package up a number of schemes to entice international investors.

“We are looking at how we can bundle several provinces to make the project bigger in scope and more interesting for investors,” he told local press.

Water projects will form a major part of the centre’s strategy to support local government units in delivering PPP schemes, which was launched earlier this year.
