Public project management company Deges, responsible for procuring the project on behalf of the German government, has selected a consortium of Bam PGGM (70%) and Habau (30%) to design, build, finance, maintain and operate the A10/A24 AS Neuruppin – AD Pankow project for 30 years.
Under the contract, the winner will reconstruct and equip the A24 with four lanes and an extended hard shoulder for 29.2 km.
The consortium will also conduct works to widen the A10 to six lanes across 29.6km, plus demolish, replace and construct new bridges.
Tendered in 2015, the project is expected to reach financial close in February 2018.
The Hessen government has recently signed a PPP contract for a police headquarters in the Frankfurt region.
