A private partner will deliver the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus (TQEC) near Bristol Temple Meads railway station and will provide facilities for around 3,000 students and 800 staff.
Current plans see the site having around 1,000 beds, with the student residences element of the deal being an off-balance sheet transaction for the university. A special purpose vehicle is expected to be set up, with an operation term of around 50 years.
“The university is looking for a partner to bring vision, innovation and add value across the whole TQEC project, drawing on a wide range of previous experience, including developing brownfield inner city sites,” the tender says.
An industry day for the scheme was held earlier this month.
