The Gautrain Management Agency (GMA) is looking for transaction advisors to help develop feasibility studies for the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link.
The current concession for the Pretoria project, which was delivered by Bouygues and Bombardier in the noughties, is set to expire in 2026, and the authority is looking to “carefully consider the optimum vehicle required to continue with the operation of the Gautrain”.
The consultants must be experts in PPPs and have experience with passenger rail technical and operation, as well as legal and commercial capabilities.
Responses are due 4 June 2021, a briefing session will take place on 14 May.
Last year, GMA put forward a proposal to expand the rapid rail integrated network by 149km under a PPP model over five phases.
