Luis Perez has joined the firm from Hogan Lovells, bringing his practice focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters, including international transactions.
A significant part of his practice involves representing the interests of major financial institutions and construction companies in structuring P3 contracts throughout the US and Latin America.
“Luis is an experienced and esteemed practitioner who brings instant gravitas for the firm in the region, and we are really excited to add him to our team,” said James Tandler, global co-chair of Reed Smith’s global corporate group.
Reed Smith is currently growing its Miami office, as the city looks to be a center for infrastructure and P3 development.
In recent months, investors and law firms have established offices and added to their teams in Miami as they target growing demand for infrastructure and P3 schemes throughout South Florida.
