AMP Capital appoints new aviation leadership

AMP Capital has appointed a new investment director in its aviation team.

AMP Capital has appointed a new investment director in its aviation team.

Dan Fitzpatrick joins from North Queensland Airports, where he most recently served as the airport’s corporate finance manager.

Fitzpatrick will take the vacancy left by David Dowling, who was recently promoted to managing director of airports.

Earlier this year, AMP Capital sold its real estate and asset management arm to Dexus, following the sale of its international equity business to DigitalBridge.

The firm still has a number of stakes in Australian airports including the Melbourne Airport, Launceston Airport and Port Hedland International Airport.

AMP Capital’s co-head of infrastructure Michael Cummings said the appointments “enable us, particularly in a post Dexus acquisition world, to continue to drive sustainable and long-term value outcomes from the management of our existing airport infrastructure assets and future growth opportunities”.
