UK digital fund sells dark fibre provider

The UK’s National Digital Infrastructure Fund (NDIF) has sold its stake in a dark fibre provider, as it looks to continue its success in seeding investment in the sector.

Managed by Amber, the NDIF has sold its share of NextGenAccess, a provider of custom dark fibre infrastructure, to ITS Technology Group.

NDIF, in which INPP is invested, acquired the stake in NextGenAccess in 2018 through a £22m investment.

The fund was set up as the Digital Infrastructure Investment Fund by the UK government as a way of seed funding infrastructure projects across the country.
