The scheme is the second to be delivered through the progressive P3 approach, which will see the private partner enter into a development phase agreement, as well as a design-build-finance-maintain P3 project agreement.
EllisDon + PCL Health Care Partners is the only team to have responded to the request for proposals (RFP), which was issued in April 2022 and which has now closed.
Over the coming months, IO and Trillium Health Partners will evaluate the RFP submission and if successful, enter into a development phase agreement with the private partner in early 2023.
Upon completion of the development phase in 2024, it is expected that the partner will enter into a fixed-price project agreement to design, build, finance, and maintain the project.
This is the second IO project to utilize its progressive P3 approach, following the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority Redevelopment Project, which received three bids in September.
