John Laing boosts North American P3 team

Developer John Laing has added three members to its P3 and infrastructure teams across the US and Canada.

Kara Vague has joined from renewable energy and green hydrogen developer, Fortescue Future Industries, and will be a director in the asset management team in New York.

She has worked in strategic, commercial and governance roles in infrastructure over the last 15 years and has extensive P3 experience across transportation, health, education and defence. Prior to her time at Fortescue, Vague worked as a lawyer on Australian P3s including Sydney Metro and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Also arriving in New York is Jasper Kienhuis, who has transferred to New York from John Laing’s London office and becomes a director in its mid-market core businesses unit. Adam Isenberg has transferred to Los Angeles from its London office as an associate.

Meanwhile, Richard Kim is joining as an associate director based in Toronto, Canada. He arrives from HSBC, where he was a director in real assets & structured finance, and had previously worked for National Bank Financial and Macquarie.

“The US is a key market for John Laing and we continue to see a strong pipeline of opportunities there,” said Anthony Phillips, co-head of PPP & projects at John Laing. “These appointments will further strengthen our ability to offer compelling public-private partnership solutions across a range of sectors and to invest in mid-market core businesses.”
