New South Wales has revised its PPP policy and guidelines, refreshing the documents to reflect changes in legislation and to streamline the Australian state’s PPP policy.
The NSW Treasury has reviewed the policy and guidelines to incorporate and absorb TC15-16 Managing Public Private Partnership (PPP) Contracts and TPP15-02 Budgeting for Availability based Public Private Partnerships, to streamline its policy.
The changes also account for the state’s new accounting standard AASB 1059.
A consultation process was carried out by NSW Treasury prior to the changes being implemented, which saw over 41 submissions from agencies and market participants, with 551 written comments.
The NSW Treasury updates its PPP policy and guidelines every so often, with the last update having come in 2017.
