The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is set to launch a procurement for a strategic estate partner to deliver a series of ambulance hubs.
Under the plans, private partners will design, build and finance a series of ambulance hubs in Ipswich and Cambridge.
Although a model for the initial sites is yet to be formalised, with the authority looking to the market for “innovative and cost-effective business cases”, the contract is valued at £135m, with a long-term lease of up to 30 years.
The project could lead to more sites being tendered, with the trust earmarking sites in nine other locations in the tender.
A pre-engagement session will take place on 20 October 2022. To find out more, click here.
