Under the plans, a private partner will deliver the hospital in downtown Rio for BRL746m (US$142.9m), over the course of a 32-year contract.
The project will be the city’s first healthcare P3 scheme and will see the private partner provide all non-clinical services under the one contract.
Among the investment work, the private partner will rebuild and renovate the existing treatment centers, as well as modernize equipment and materials.
Once the consultation has been completed, the authority will begin the process of launching a contract notice for the scheme.
