The firm will bring in former chief financial officer of Evercore, Celeste Mellet, as partner and chief financial officer, effective from February 2023.

During her time at global investment banking advisory firm Evercore, Mellet was responsible for the firm’s finance, strategy, tax, information technology and facilities functions. Prior to her time with that company, she was Fannie Mae’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, and previously spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley.

“We are delighted to welcome Celeste to GIP’s leadership team,” said GIP chairman and chief executive, Bayo Ogunlesi. “We believe her experience in leading and transforming finance teams and her ability to drive results and implement change in complex environments will be of enormous benefit to GIP.”
