A request for information (RFI) has been issued by the US Department of Navy on its latest P3 opportunity.
The “rare opportunity” will see private partners develop multiple parcels of underutilized, non-excess property owned by the Navy. Potential developments include non-residential uses such as retail, office, light industrial, digital facilities and leisure amenities.
Located near Naval Support Facility (NSF) Dahlgren, Virginia, the three sites range from 15.6 acres to 40.4 acres.
The project is currently being planned as a long-term P3, although the Navy is open to other arrangements.
The Navy will host an industry day on March 7 next year.
Responses are due June 7, 2023. The full tender can be found by clicking here.
As previously reported, the Navy’s Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) is currently preparing to release a request for qualifications (RFQ) on its Base Point Loma Old Town Campus P3 project, which is set to be one of the country’s largest P3s.
