‘Ambitious timeline’ for Trinidad & Tobago port P3

The Government of Trinidad & Tobago, together with the Inter-American Development Bank and Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF), has put interested parties on notice for the Port of Port of Spain P3 project.

An event marking the official launch of the structuring process for the project saw representatives from the authorities outlining plans for the port.

“We have defined a tangible PPP opportunity that today begins its last phase: a structuring process,” announced Carina Cockburn, country head for the IADB in Trinidad & Tobago.

“Alongside the government and GIF, we have defined a very ambitious timeline for project tendering in early 2023.”

The project will see private partners invest, develop and operate the Port of Port of Spain tourism and transport hub through a P3 agreement.
