Australian infrastructure giant Plenary has added an ex-John Laing leader as it looks to expand into Europe and the UK.
Alex Yew is joining the firm as a new non-executive director and senior advisor to its European wing.
Yew was previously the senior managing director at John Laing, having also served as a senior advisor to its chief executive officer. He has also held leadership positions at CIBC World Markets and AY Infra and Energy.
In his new role, Yew will focus on greenfield infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport and social sectors, with the business looking to pursue “opportunities across Europe and the UK”.
Yew said he was “delighted to be supporting Plenary’s business and team in Europe”.
