Pathway forward for Sao Paulo 101km rail P3

The Government of Sao Paulo and Brazil’s federal government have signed an agreement to “unlock” the state’s Intercity Train (TIC) concession.

Under the plans, private partners will be sought to deliver a 101km express railway link between São Paulo and Campinas.

The agreement will allow the future concessionaire to assume the rights on the current Line 7 railway, a 32km section of metro-rail between the cities, resolving a key hurdle in the project's progression.

Meanwhile, the City of Recife has opened a public consultation as it prepares to tender the concessions for four urban parks in the region. To read more, click here.
