Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is to release a request for qualifications (RFQ) on its I-285/I-20 West Interchange P3 project in January 2023.
Delivered under the Major Mobility Investment Program (MMIP), private partners will design, build and finance the reconfiguration of the major interchange and supporting road network with new lanes.
The prospective cost of construction is valued at around $1.1bn.
The authority also mentions that the works will not preclude the future potential delivery of HOT lanes.
On December 9, GDOT will host an industry forum ahead of one-on-one sessions about the project on December 19.
Earlier this year, GDOT issued a request for proposals (RFP) to three shortlisted teams on its SR-400 Express Lanes project.
