The authority is seeking a private partner to replace the existing farm buildings with a range of infrastructure, including up to 930 dwellings (including affordable properties), a primary school, local centre, open space and pavilion/wellbeing centre.
A development agreement between the parties will run for 12 years, with the option for the council to extend it by up to three years. The value of the scheme is expected to be in the region of £300m.
The council is looking to appoint a development partner “who is committed to working with the Council in a true partnership style to design and deliver a viable and attractive proposal”, the tender said.
Interested parties have until 21 December 2022 to respond. For more information on the project, click here, and to read the tender, click here.
