Invesis has acquired Asanti Datacentres, which itself has simultaneously acquired five Regional Edge data centres from Daisy Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of communications and IT solutions.
As a result, Invesis has secured an immediate and significant presence within the UK data centre market and the deal provides it with the opportunity to bring its infrastructure investment and development experience to “a sector in which demand for the environmental and commercial benefits of high-speed data connectivity continue to soar”.
“This is an important first step in our digital infrastructure investment journey, diversifying the Invesis portfolio and providing a platform for growth in the digital infrastructure sector,” said Invesis chief executive, Chris Williams.
Invesis advisers on the deal included Pinsent Masons, KPMG and DWPF. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, other than confirmation that Invesis now owns 100% of Asanti.
