Infrastructure investor John Laing has completed its acquisition of Electribus concessions in Bogotá, Colombia.
The firm announced the plans to pick up the concessions in August this year.
Split across two concessions, 259 electric buses are supplied to the Transmilenio, the public transport authority of Bogotá, which are operated by Somos.
The concessions, dubbed Electribus Bogotá Fontibón II and Electribus Bogotá USME I, were acquired from Somos K, Fondo Ashmore Andino II – FCP and Ashmore Andean Fund II.
The concessions will run until 2035 and 2036 respectively.
