The Democratic Republic of Congo is eyeing up PPP projects to drive water access across the country.
It is looking to the private sector to develop “innovation, resilience, and sustainability” in the country's water industry in order to spread clean drinking water access.
The government has enlisted the World Bank to help assess the potential for increased private sector engagement, and the multilateral is looking for consultants to bolster its efforts.
The advisors will help, amongst other roles, with identifying shortfalls in the current legal, regulatory and institutional set-up, and suggest changes that could enable projects to progress.
Responses are due 1 December 2022. The full tender can be found on the World Bank’s eConsult2 site.
