The Mountview Health Complex Committee (MHCC) has selected partners for its Beavertown lodge healthcare P3.
This week Alberta Health Services (AHS) has signed a deal to become the anchor tenant of the future project.
In October, Landex was appointed as the developer for the project.
Under the plans, a new community health center will replace the region’s existing Municipal Hospital, providing a new centralized location for health and emergency services for the County of Grande Prairie.
The new facility will have spaces for inpatient beds, negative pressure rooms, operational procedures, laboratories, therapeutic services and a multitude of other support and community services.
“This harnesses the power of public-private partnerships and invests in the future of the region and the town of Beaverlodge,” said Travis Toews, MLA of Grande Prairie-Wapiti and Minister of Finance.
