George Kyriakelis has been promoted to the position, having previously served as a project director within the agency since joining in 2013.

“George has been involved in the planning, procurement, and implementation of several health, education, transportation, and energy projects, in various roles,” said Mark Liedemann, Infrastructure BC president & chief executive, as he welcomed him into his new position.

Prior to his time at Infrastructure BC, Kyriakelis worked for Kiewit in various management capacities on some of the largest transportation projects in British Columbia, including a number of the province’s P3 initiatives.

The agency is currently procuring the Surrey Langley SkyTrain project under a P3 model, recently shortlisting two teams for the scheme.
