A request for expressions of interest (RFI) was issued by the city in February, seeking interested parties and to determine which firms are qualified and capable of delivering a system that offers dependable high-speed internet services at competitive rates throughout much of Thornton.

Proposals were due by March 2, 2023, and P3 Bulletin understands that nine organizations have responded to the RFI, although the identities of those teams has not been revealed.

The city is now evaluating the responses ahead of making its decision on next steps for the initiative.
