The City of Edmonton, Alberta, is gearing up to procure a major hydrogen partnership project.
Under the plans, private partners will deliver a new hydrogen production plant at the Centennial Garage, along the highway between Edmonton and Calgary.
The station will supply fuel for the city’s hydrogen transit buses and private heavy trucks.
“We are leading the way on hydrogen by driving investment and innovation,” the authority said. “By taking steps today to invest in the Edmonton region’s hydrogen economy, the city will ensure a prosperous future for Edmontonians for years to come through job creation and economic growth.”
The RFP is to be released tomorrow and will be available here.
