Winner for Green Line development partner

A team has won the race to become the development partner on the Calgary Green Line project in Alberta.

The Green Line board has chosen Bow Transit Connectors (BTC) to deliver the scheme, which will see an 18km new light rail line delivered as part of the first phase of the initiative.

BTC comprises Barnard Constructors of Canada, Flatiron, and WSP Canada, together with their financial advisor EllisDon Capital.

The consortium’s other advisors include Delve Underground, Platinum Engineering, Egis, IBI, GEC Architecture and Architecture 49.

BTC beat off competition from City Link Partners (Aecon, Dragados, Acciona, Parsons, and Aecom), after both teams were shortlisted in August last year.

In January, the Green Line board chose CSIX Partners, led by SNC-Lavalin, as its delivery partner on the project, to provide a range of project functions, including commercial management, technical support, project controls, and construction management.
