Special Representative for Global Partnerships Dorothy McAuliffe has discussed the role that PPPs can play in the reconstruction of the war-torn country, which has been fighting the Russian invasion since February last year.

During a discussion at the German Marshall Fund of the United States’ 18th Brussels Forum, “she underscored how multilateral, public-public private partnerships are important tools for the reconstruction agenda”, the State Department said.

She also discussed the continuing efforts of the US to stimulate private sector investment in Ukraine, including equity and debt financing.

Last month, work resumed on the planning of the Port of Chornomorsk PPP project, after it was put on hold at the outset of the invasion.
