Brazil preparing debut waterway P3

The Government of Brazil is preparing a concession for the Lagoa Mirim waterway project, the first of its kind in the country.

Under the prospective plans, private partners will be sought to secure the navigability of the major waterway which connects internal regions of Brazil and Uruguay to the Atlantic Ocean via the Port of Pelotas.

Infra SA will now prepare feasibility studies for the project.

“This is yet another effort by the Federal Government to strengthen relations between Brazil and Uruguay and expand the logistical integration of the Mercosur countries,” said Infra SA’s president Jorge Bastos.

Meanwhile, The City Hall of Rio is set to hold an auction for the Complexo Hospitalar Souza Aguiar P3 project. Click here to read more.
