Earlier this year, the province revealed plans to deliver a number of new schools through a bundled P3 approach, and has since sought advisory services to deliver a nine-school bundle through a P3 model.
During an update pledging $260m in school capital projects for 2023-24, Consumer Protection and Government Services Minister James Teitsma also referred to the progress being made on the P3 project.
It was confirmed that the schools are “on track” to be completed by 2027, while Teitsma added that the procurement model will allow the Manitoba government to build the new schools through a single tender and thereby complete the construction “faster and with optimal value”.
