Peru’s private investment agency ProInversion has awarded the Chimbote and Piura hospitals P3 project.
IBT Health has been awarded the project, after it emerged as the sole bidder earlier this month.
Major international firms such as Acciona and OHLA had entered the race at earlier stages, but did not bid despite being pre-qualified for the project.
Under the plans, IBT Health will now deliver a $109m hospital in Piura and a $143m hospital in Chimbote – each will have an operation and management period of 17 years.
The project is set to be co-financed by government agency ESSALUD.
