The Government of Malaysia has released a request for information (RFI) for its flagship high speed rail corridor PPP project, following a “positive response” to its initial input gathering exercise.
Under the plans, a new high speed rail line from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore would be built, drastically reducing commuting time between the transit hubs.
Local and international firms are being sought to submit their concept proposals as part of the RFI, to help the government gauge the industry’s interest and ability to fully fund the project and evaluate the technical options.
Responses to the RFI are due 15 November 2023. The tender can be found by clicking here.
