Plenary has hired new leadership for its European office.

Richard Osborne will join as the firm’s new executive director for Europe, working out of the company's London office.

Osborne joins from Macquarie Capital, where he led all the firm's PPP investments in Ireland, overseeing major project wins including the country’s debut higher education and social housing bundles and the DIT Central at Grangegorman project.

Beyond Ireland, he has also helped deliver PPPs including the Mersey Gateway Bridge project, Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Slovakia’s D4R7 highway.

In his new role, Osborne will help lead the firm’s pursuit of greenfield projects in the social and transport sectors across Ireland, UK and mainland Europe.

Plenary’s chief investment officer Paul Crowe said the firm looks forward to “leveraging [Osborne’s] impressive experience, particularly his success in Ireland, where Plenary will pursue greenfield opportunities in the social housing, justice and transport sectors”.
