ProInversion has selected a winner for its Piura Nueva - Frontera transmission P3 project.
Celeo Redes has been awarded the contract, beating off competition from three other bidders.
Under the deal, the firm will deliver a new major substation and line as part of the 270km Ecuador-Peru interconnection program.
The 30-year concession will require around $223m of investment.
"Today we have taken a significant step to make the electrical interconnection between Peru and Ecuador a reality and guarantee a quality and sustainable service, which will help promote the development of commercial, industrial and service activities in the north of the country," said Jose Salardi, executive director of ProInversion.
Salardi added that the agency will “continue working to create greater development opportunities through more P3 projects".
