Michael Hill will take up the role on September 5, 2023, joining from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), where he had the Americas head of sustainable energies and head of its New York office.

Hill will continue to be based in New York, where he will report to chief investment officer Ralph Berg. He takes over from Annesley Wallace, who left the organization at the end of April.

“Michael has an impressive track-record, extensive transaction background and significant experience in business strategy and sustainable energy,” said Berg.

Prior to his time at CPPIB, Hill spent over 25 years in investment banking, in various roles at Nomura Securities, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.
