The US Navy’s Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) has received a number of bids for its Naval Base Point Loma, Old Town Campus P3.

Four teams were shortlisted for the project in April, and a number of bids have now been submitted, although the Navy declined to comment on how many have proceeded to bid.

According to the authority, a winner is expected to be selected by the end of the year, entering into an exclusive negotiation process.

Once selected, the winning team will design, build and finance the 70 acre site in San Diego, including the delivery of a 1.7 million sq ft Navy facility. The rest of the site is open to proposals for development.
