Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has appointed a suite of advisors to prepare the country’s first metro project.
The advisory team will be led by Turner & Townsend, joined by WSP, O’Connor Sutton Cronin, Mace, and PwC.
Last year, the Irish Cabinet approved the preliminary business case for the long-awaited MetroLink project, which will include a PPP element.
Under the plans, a new 18.8km railway line with 16 stations will be delivered across the city.
TII’s MetroLink project director Aidan Foley said the team’s appointment represents a “key milestone in the development of the MetroLink project and underlines the Irish State’s commitment to delivering this much-needed project.”
