Brian Murray has been appointed to the role, in which he will work with private and public sector clients to deliver major transportation projects.
Murray brings 42 years of international experience in railway infrastructure, including expertise on alternative delivery financing and procurement models, such as P3s and collaborative delivery approaches on complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs.
His career has included stints at Fluor Canada, as well as working on Saudi Arabia’s Project Neom initiative to deliver a new city in the country. Prior to that, he worked as a project delivery director on the MyHSR scheme to establish a high-speed rail connection between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He also spent six years as a program delivery director at Transport for London in the UK.
“Brian’s proven leadership, flexibility and true partnering style of management will be invaluable to our clients in his role as program director,” said Drew Jeter, chief executive of Aecom’s program management global business line.
“He has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and expertise in technical, commercial and risk management across all phases of railway infrastructure delivery.”
