The firm described Ireland as an “attractive destination for global capital”, with ambitious plans to attract more private financing to deliver new infrastructure to tackle issues such as a growing economy and the energy transition.
Gemma McRann, senior vice president at Macquarie Capital, said: “Ireland has perhaps the strongest pipeline of public-private partnership projects in Europe.”
A range of PPP projects are in the offing in Ireland, as the country is currently in the process of procuring its sixth social housing bundle, as well as taking its first steps towards the delivery of the flagship MetroLink project in Dublin.
