Technical giant Aecom has appointed a new chief executive of its Canada business.
Richard Barrett will be taking up the role, after serving as the firm’s Australia and New Zealand leader for two years.
Aecom is working on a number of Canada’s flagship P3 projects, including the Ontario Line Southern Civil package and the QEW Credit River Bridge P3.
Troy Rudd, the group’s chief executive officer, said the appointment comes “at a critical juncture”, adding that Barrett and his replacement in Australia New Zealand - Mark McManamny - are “well-positioned to drive growth and capitalize on these exciting opportunities, further solidifying our standing as an industry leader”.
