Major players bid for Greek highway PPP

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) has received bids from international and domestic firms for the Attica highway PPP project.

Described as the backbone of the whole Attica region, the 70km stretch is part of the Athens ring road system, and was delivered as a concession in the 1990s. Under the new concession, the winning bidder will finance, operate and maintain the stretch for 25 years.

The following six teams have submitted bids for the project:

    • Albertis - €2.7bn

    • Meridiam, Aktor & Avax - €2.54bn

  • Brisa, Auto Estradas de Portugal, Rubicone Midc & Intrakat - €2.05bn

  • Macquarie & Fincop - €2.35bn

  • Vinci, Mytilineos & Mobility Partners - €3.1bn

  • Gek Terna - €3.27bn
